Hello:

I noticed recently that Apple is hosting a special holiday shopping party (of sorts) on Friday, November 29th from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight at their stores and at their Web site as well.

My question is: Does anyone know with ANY certainty what kind of special deals are we looking at? For instance, would the PowerMac G4 be on sale for 10% off or something like that only during that time period?

I have a friend who is in the market to buy such a product, and I'd like to help him save money if it is at all possible.

Thanks!

I don't know anything specific, but they were saying the same things about the 10.2 party, and they gave 10% off across the board.

Well, I sure hope we will get to hear something MORE specific on this before the 29th!

Thanks anyway.

That's true, and I saw a lot of hardware being moved out of the SoHo store that fine August day.

Anyway, this thread isn't Power Mac specific, so it be off to the Lounge.

From the handout that I received from the opening of the Emeryville store I know that there will be a some sort of give away. As to what they are giving away I would love to find out.

The email message I got announcing this event had a verrrry interesting item:
"Win an iMac (no purchase necessary)."
That fits my budget.

I think that they were also giving out a number of iPods as "stocking stuffers."

Is that every store, or just the grand opening at Oakbrook?

Is this a "door prize" type of giveaway, where you sign up and they have drawings throughout evening?
