iPod/iTunes Playlists

	Hello: I have a G4 that is my primary computer. It has over 30 GB of music that I converted to MP3s in iTunes 2.0.4 (yes, I do have a large CD collection, so I didn't steal the music from anyone). I also backed up the 30 GB of MP3s onto an external FireWire drive. The iTunes preferences on my 20 GB-sized iBook points to this hard drive. HOWEVER, for some reason, the playlists on my G4 does not appear on the FireWire drive. I'd like to be able to upload to my iPod (first generation 5 GB) as needed, even if my G4 is tied up. Is there an easy way I can do this? Would upgrading to iTunes 3.0 help? Thanks ever so much!
