can anyone tell me how to do this? i've tried downloading a couple of things, but they won't work [mighty mouse, biggy]. i'd really like a color other than black, simply to make it easier to see. i've enlarged it for the time being, but would prefer smaller & colored to bigger & black.
or does such a possibility not exist with the new OS?
currently running OS X 10.5.2

well, mighty mouse certainly worked; i used a cursor set (including a replacement for my least favorite thing, the beachball) in 10.3 thru 10.4.

when unsanity gets to mm in 10.5, will be back to my fave cursors...

well, that'd be nice. i tried it, but doesn't work currently.
looking forward to it! [i also dislike the beachball - changed mine to a book turning pages in my 1st 2 macs! but used ResEdit to do it - don't think that works anymore, either...]

Try downloading Mac Pilot

They let you customize a lot of your mac so you could give that one a shot

APE was dead; now it's coming back to life. That should be good for everyone around.

How does OS X store its mouse cursors? I've known where to find the Dock, Finder, and aqua GUI elements for years, but never saw anything about manually modding cursors

Is this another one of those situations where they put it in a binary (i.e., the startup apple from 10.4 onwards) or something else strange?

i prefer the default mac cursor not just over windows (duh), but over just about anything else i've tried on my old PC. i guess i appreciate the simplicity enough that i'd never want to change it.
