I searched the archives and previous threads, but found nothing.

I aquired a 350mHz G3 blueberry, it only has a 24X CD-rom, is it possible to boot OS X from my 500mHz machine?

Do you have an external firewire drive? You could use that, or repartition your hard drive to include a partition big enough to copy the contents of the install disk image to.

you should be able to run 10.3.9 on that iMac, but you'll need to make sure it has the latest Firmware installed. make sure you do run the update, otherwise you could fubar your display
found here > http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86117

10.3.9 came on CDs, so you'll need to find a copy or buy from ebay/local Mac dealer may have one for sale.

You could probably run Tiger on that machine but it wouldn't be very fast.

more info can be found here > http://www.lowendmac.com/imacs/blue.shtml

I've already got 10.3.9 on it. I guess I just wanted to the latest and the greatest.

Thanks for everyone's help.
