I like the maple leaf/seal design. But the pajama look indeed sucks. And aren't there clothing makers somewhere in the vastness that is Canada? Surely there are...

Oh, and the "serious model dudes" are way too serious and dramatic. Geez, that's pretty lame.

Of course I shouldn't speak too soon-I haven't seen what the U.S. teams are going to wear...

Is it baggy, sure. But I quite like the Chinese traditional art motifs (clouds, sunbeams, seals, etc.) -- fits the stage.

Sorry but what isn't made in china these days. Its incredibly difficult to find one product that isn't. My question is how does our economy operate when so much manufactoring has disapeared and so much money flys out to other countries.

I must clarify than Spain's provider is a chinese brand (Li Ning, the chinese gymnast that won 6 medals at the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games) rather than just a 'Made in China' Reebok, Nike and what not…

As for the spaniard lady, she's always smiling, anybody surprise, she has to be one of the very few spaniards that keep winning instead of whining. LOL

She's probably a runner, and "in training." Very low body fat, very lean, probably a long-distance runner. I know swimmers that are that lean when they're in training, but they have bigger shoulders.

If she was really taking steroids, she wouldn't look so lean; she'd look beefy.

Still, that low a body fat level is not healthy for anyone for long.

Because shareholder profit trumps actual economic benefit, it doesn't matter that moving as much manufacturing overseas is economically bankrupting much of the Western world. Currently it costs something like 45% more to buy a washing machine because the price of steel is so high. That's because China is paying top dollar for scrap and finished steel instead of developing their own resources and industries, which jacks up the cost of everything. Copper, lead, tin, steel, aluminum... everything that's used in manufacturing is going across the Pacific because it's cheaper in the short term for China and it looks like a windfall for the materials vendors at home. It is neither.
