A few "indespensible" utilities:

Toast

Drag Thing

Carbon Copy Cloner

Watson

DiskWarrior

What are you planning on using your new mac for? Art? Audio? Video? Web design?

Or just the usual-- surfing/pr*n/chat?

I'll be using it for video editing, browsing etc

Any idea where in the uk I can buy a Radeon 9800 for Mac?

I'll be using either my Dell 17" tft or Dell 19" crt, haven't decided yet

AdvocateUK:

Use the 17" LCD. Somehow a CRT just doesn't feel appropriately "Macish" these days.

Anyways, other apps you can use:

Safari (if it doesn't come preloaded)

Conversation: sort of the IRC equivalent to iChat

Mozilla Firebird: an alternative to IE or Safari, if neither floats your boat

Unfortunately, that shop is indeed in the 'other world'- they wanted a UK shop.
