Hi, I just got a new Motorola phone (KRZR K1m) and am trying to get used to the new Motorola interface. On my old phone, I was able to change the labels/functions of the left and right soft keys on the "home page", but on this new phone, I can't figure out how to. Is this still possible? Currently, it's set to "Messages" on the left and "Contacts" on the right. Thanks.

I think it is Menu>Settings>Personalize>Home Screen>Home Keys
They are the right & left softkey
yes all that just to change those!!! hahaha
Sorry I don't have a K1, just going off memory...

Thanks for the response, but unfortunately there is no such path on the new phone. However, that is the correct path for my old phone. I have yet to see a Home Screen Soft Key setting option on the new phone.

On my KRZR (the K1, not the K1m) I am only able to edit the Left Soft Key.
And the option to edit that Soft Key is contained within that path.
More than likely (Sprint or Verizon, whoever you have) has locked that option out of their carrier specific firmware.

If it is locked out, try downloading moto menu editor at motomodders.net this will let you edit the menu's. Of course this will only work on Windows...
Did you get this from Verizon? They are notorious for locking things out...

Does the moto menu editor work on CDMA phones or just GSM?
