The "Nuclear Boy Scout" or radioactive boy?

David Hahn - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Having made post about him earlier I decided to wiki him to see if his experiments actually did him any harm.

This is what he looks like now

And it looks like he didn't learn his lesson the first time

On August 1st, 2007, Hahn was arrested in Clinton Township, Michigan for larceny, in relation to a matter involving several smoke detectors, allegedly removed from the halls of his apartment building. In his mug shot, his face is covered with sores which investigators claim are from exposure to radioactive materials.[3] During a Circuit Court hearing, Hahn pleaded guilty to attempted larceny of a building. The court’s online docket said prosecutors recommended that he be sentenced to time served and enter an inpatient treatment facility. Under terms of the plea, the original charge of larceny of a building would be dismissed at sentencing, scheduled for Oct. 4.[4] He was in fact sentenced to 90 days in jail.[5]

Remember kids, radio-active material isn't something to play around with. Smoke detectors has an ingredient in it that helps make radioactive material he wanted to. He seems to be carrying on his experiments. *sigh* he could have killed a lot of people.

I remember the movie "Silkwood" about Karen Silkwood scared the CRAP out of me. It looks like a classic silkwood shower is too late for him.

That's some story. Shows how a little bit of intelligence and bold-can-do spirit can be a dangerous combination.

I wouldn't mind so much if what he was doing was somehow furthering our knowledge about such things. Like the work of Madam Curie that eventually killed her. At least through her loss, she gave something or added to humanity. This guy is just being egotistical I think.

One of my favorite sayings is that "the wind does not respect a fool."

Stand in the way of a tornado and you may be brave but you are foolish and a tornado will kill you if you are sufficiently foolish.

To me he looks like a G** dam*** fool.

Where he could be kept a closed watched on I am sure. And he wasn't allowed near any of the nuclear stuff.
