I want to reduce the volume of an .aif file.

I use QT 7 Pro, Show Movie Properties, Audio Settings, drag Volume: left to lower the volume of the clip.

Now how do I get QT to save the file with the volume reduced?

Nothing I've tried has worked and this seems so easy.

What did you try?

Saving it as a new Mov file is supposed to work, but certain point versions of QT 7 did not do this (they didn't save that property); this bug is fixed in what I'm running here which is 7.6.6.

If you need it to be an aif file afterwards, you will have to export it to aif, which should work.
