The brand, that is. AMD is going to use the its branding from now on, so get ready for those AMD Radeons.

Makes perfect sense given where the semiconductor market is moving.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

That sucks. I saw a videogame at a bar this weekend, and it flashed a 3DFX logo. Immediatly I felt nostalgic. I loved 3dFX and GLIDE.

AMD Radeon.. fine by me. I never thought they'd use the ATi brand indefinitely.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

With a fast CPU, 3dfx Glide in the Voodoo3 3000 and Unreal Tournament and even with OpenGL and Quake III was totally awesome.
The ATI Rage 128 Pro that came after, supposedly a superior card, still couldn't compete for basic smoothness.
In any case I'm sad to see that Canadian brand finally die out. Well, I suppose there's still Matrox.

Totally. My original frankeniMac had the Voodoo2 gamewizard card, and it ran pretty decent when it was still only 333mhz. When I installed the 600mhz Harmoni... WEEEEEE!!!!!
