I have gotten many burned CDs from friends as presents, but alot of the songs are downloaded off iTunes, I can't just ask for their password to play the song when I want. So, I was wondering if there is a way or a program to take the requirement for a password off the song files, so I don't need my friend's passwords.

No, the sharing of songs bought in the iTunes Music Store is not possible, for obvious reasons.
If you don't have songs that you bought yourself, you could authorize the computer with your friend's password. I don't think you can authorize two or more accounts at the same time though. Does somebody know ?

Doesn't work until he has authorized his computer to de-DRM those files.
If his friend is dumb enough to give out the password, ah well...

If you have the CD, just re-rip them to mp3.
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.

Obviously his friends burned the files as a data CD, not an audio CD.

Zimphire, it's not cough but the link he gave led to this site: http://hymn-project.org/jhymndoc/ and that DOES have the "unlocker" on it!

Well like I said, I haven't actually used it so I wouldn't know about that
It was just a piece of software I thought of that might help him.

I was speaking about the claim that you can take good quality AAC files and turn them into even HIGHER quality mp3 files.

Simply can't be done.

that same project can just decode them into non-DRM'd AAC songs. I've used it before because my mother and father have two separate accounts for their songs and they'd like to share the songs between their iPods. (and occasionally, mine as well)

I've worked around enough power tools, machinery, and Hemi engines in my life that I couldn't tell the difference if you paid me to.

I have heard MP3s ripped from an iTunes song that was burned to a CD and it sounded fine to me.

If you have the CD, just re-rip them to mp3.
Minus the "to mp3" part

I have this Mac authorized for two accounts at the moment.

PS: If the friend visits you from time to time, he could authorize your Mac to play his music.
