iPhone in Europe report

Arrived in the UK today and the iPhone is working great! Made a few calls an checked e-mails while on Edge (dunno if i get charged roaming data yet) but all is well so far! Connecting okay to o2-uk , orange, and vodaphone.
Will report later if not i'll report from Paris next!

The $6/month gives you lower rates when travelling overseas. Notice that I said "lower rates" because that means you're still paying huge per-minute rates.
France without the $6/month is $1.29/minute, with the plan you pay $1/minute.
You'd better have figured out how to call home using a calling card, or else you're going to be staggered by your phone bill when you get home.

If you're calling land lines in Europe, Skype is the best way to go since it's about 2 cents/minute. Easily done from a laptop w/wifi.
If you're traveling overseas, you're better off taking an old unlocked GSM phone, since you'll be able to buy local SIM prepaid cards. Can't do that with the iphone...
