Where can I find info on "Orbit" as shown at WWDC? I can't find even a mention anywhere!

Good question.
Did a quick search for "Aran Anderson" and didn't find anything...

Nothing-as if they didn`t exist.
The company is called Analytic Systems Design.
They should have a website within a few days/weeks? - otherwise what`s the point of presenting a cool new app?

I haven't had a chance to watch the keynote yet. What's 'Orbit'?

You *have* to see this...
If I understand, it's an app that predicts sattelite trajectories... like in real time
very very very impressive,

I'll be first in line when they provide a SCREENSAVER online (free, I'm presuming, just for the publicity)... if I understood him right during the demo.

The point is that one guy was able to design & run a program for OS X in about 3 months that about a year or so ago would have required a NASA supercomputer or something to run.
I think the main point of him being there was to give a nudge to people developing scientific applications. They were basically saying to the scientific community, "Look, you can now do on OS X what it used to take a supercomputer to do." Or at least that was my take on the point of him being there and showing his app.

I have been searching everywhere to no avail, which is a shame because I really want to see it... looks brilliant.
If anyone finds a link, I shall congratulate them personally.

They said they would make it available (the screensaver that is) on Apple's website.
You'll just have to be patient.

Thats a very good point youre making.
And since the room was full of developers they were able to show just how incredible OS X is - and to encourage them to think "BIG".

After he did the demo, he mentioned a web site -- watch the stream, and I'm sure you can pick it out.

Someone posted the url of the site in the lounge - but there are no downloads on it.
People will just have to wait a few days...
