Hi!
While troubleshooting my jumping mouse pointer under Tiger I noticed that the command "top" shows the process "mdimport" more than once, sometimes twice, three at the moment. Activity monitor shows only one. Does it do that on your systems, too?

I've just noticed that there is more than one mdimport running. One is running under my user name, the other is under the user "nobody." Are you sure this is normal? What is the user "nobody" for? I would think that mdimport would run under system or root user.
