1-Apple
2-Yamaha
3-Panasonic

I just gave my house an electronics make over. All computers are Apple, All HIFI equipment is Yamaha and all Video equipment is Panasonic. They are all reliable brands that have proven worthy in my lifetime I am not an easy switcher.

Hm...
1. Apple
2. Sony (I have a receiver and DVD player, both were free, both are amazing for the price)
3. KLH (no speakers in the history of the world rock as hard for $30 each--250 watts RMS, 12" woofers...oh yeah, there are cracks in the ceiling below them.)

I think that'd be it. I like my HP printer, I like my Fujifilm camera and may or may not replace it with another fujifilm it'll be that or a canon but I really like a nikon one I saw with WiFi built in. I thought of putting Wacom up there since I swear by my tablet. I dono. I hate Sony, I hate Dell, I hate Microsoft, and I hate Gateway. Everything else I'm pretty indifferent to. I enjoy samsung but don't own anything of thier's.

I wouldn't say its style OVER substance. Yes, its pricey, but its very stylish, and very good quality stuff. You go out and find an LCD TV with the same sound performance as a Beovision 7 without having to add a separate sound system - you will be hard pushed to find one, and if you do, I doubt the TV will swivel on its base via the remote control, or that it will have an ambient light sensor built in to ensure optimal screen brightness in different conditions, or that it will be able to so easily link together with other products in its range to play CD, radio, DVD from another room in the house on that TV.

I just go by what reviewers and testers have been consistently saying for decades, in addition to my own experience. I've got no problem with people spending their money on anything they see fit, but B&O sound is mediocre, especially for the money charged.

I don't think much of their design either, but I am aware that that's a matter of personal taste and opinion.

I have a 32" TV and multiregion VCR from Samsung, they work great. Absolutely great value for money, however I do know other Samsng products, and basically when it has Samsung components, it will break down (like Apple powerbook adapters). I opened up the 32" TV and the components are all cheap, though it displays a crisp image (for how long).

Sony, to me, is a true consumer brand. They make great stuff, but lost their innovating touch a bit. The 10.4mp digicam R1 was a bit of a disappointment to me, i sold it within 3 days and bought a panasonic FZ30. I should add that IF I WOULD buy a notebook, it would be a VAIO. Canon makes great equipment, they really think along with their clients. They make excellent printers.

Panasonic I have just barely touched. I know they make great equipment. My first stereo was panasonic and still lives after 20 years. I was looking for a replacement camera for my Canon 350d and bought a Sony R1. It was no good for me so i sold it and bought a FZ30. I knew this was 'my' camera. On Panasonic's website you can read how the engineers passionately tell about their invention: the FZ30, I didn't expect this warmth from an asian company.
of course matsushita is also Technics, the DJ's preferred choice

Yamaha is great in everything they produce. Be it HIFI, motorcycles, motorboats or anything.
