Music player to play flac files?

I'm looking for a light (low resource) player to play my flac files. I tried Cog, but it began to have gaps in playback after using it just a short while. Any recommendations?

I tried ToolPlayer, and it also skips. My flac files are on a USB-connected hard drive with NTFS file system. I have posted on the laptop board because I think the NTFS might be the problem. Copying an album to my Mac takes nearly an hour.

Apple Lossless doesn't currently come with DRM at all (though of course the iTunes Store might switch to ALE eventually).
ALE includes support for full ID3 tagging and covers.
FLAC does not - or at least, no FLAC torrent I've ever downloaded has *ever* included such information in the files themselves, so I must assume it's not supported.
That alone is reason enough not to bother with FLAC, or to convert the hell out of that format as soon as you've downloaded it.

Well, that's not true. Flac does support metadata tags, although they're not exactly the same as ID3. They do contain a lot of the same information, though - name, artist, album, etc.

Wasn't there a plugin that allowed Quicktime and iTuness to play FLAC audio?

I think you should be able to use an application called Switch to convert your audio files into an mp3 or whatever you'd like. iTunes should be able to pick it up after that. I believe there is a free version and a retail version. Good Luck!

I believe VLC player uses build-in FLAC decoder.
