That's right. I got Windows NT 4 running on a Powerbook G4. How you ask? Not with Virtual PC, Boschs, or any other sort of emulator, but true booting and running environment. With a few (a lot) of tweaking, I was able to get the PowerPC code of NT 4 to communicate with the ROM, and sucessfully boot. NO cd rom support, no video support, no support for anything. Only during the install was I able to use the CD-ROM strangely. Oh well, I'll post some screenshots soon. Runs pretty frooking fast too.

Not just some screenshots please. Detail the process you went through. Naturally, I'm skeptical. But if it's true, I'd certainly like to know more.

What a waste of a PowerBook G4.

If there's no video support, how can you take screenshots?

I assume there's basic video support, just no hardware acceleration.

For that matter, how were you ever able to verify it was actually running? How did you tweak the code? Did you use some kind of serial-port debugger? If so, how did you work around the fact that a PBG4 has no serial ports?

I'm guessing this is some kind of spoof of the OSX-on-Intel cracks.

Well, there WAS a PowerPC version of NT way back when (like, back in the PPC 601 days). But I very much doubt if it would run on a modern Mac.

True Dat. But it was pretty lame anyway. NT4 is SO 1993 anyway.

NT 4.0 ran on i386, PowerPC and Alpha. I still have my set of CDs and floppies. Also, the first two PR releases of W2k ran on all 3 too and I still have an Alpha running W2k right now. Course, there never was any software updates/service paks/etc, but it runs.

NO cd rom support, no video support, no support for anything.
Including no actual usable OS. Apparently, your definition of the word "running" is very loose.

Can you run a serial console on a PS2 port? I didn't think you could do that.

Anyway, as far as NT/PPC, it did exist, but that only deals with the processor. There is much more to a computer's hardware architecture than the processor. For that reason, NT/PPC never ran on Macs.
