I was setting up my computer this morning at work (Mac tech support) and I'm getting all of our users on my remote desktop list. I set the network scanner to go from ###.###.0.0 to ###.###.255.255. It went through it all and I got all my machines added. Later I switched it to 'network address' to add a specific machine. My boss just got a call saying there was a lot of suspicious activity coming from my machine over port 3283 (remote desktop). It would scan a huge number of address, wait, then scan again. I quit RD and started it up to make sure it wasn't still scanning. Is there some reason it kept scanning in the background?
