The Jackrabbit would be great for an external CD-RW + DVD (for random movie watching on TV)... There's just one problem: It's USB only.

I'd hate to be restricted to 4x burning with my iBook so I was wondering is there a similar device with Firewire? How has Philips been adopting FW? Is there a chance we'll see a FW Jackrabbit?

If you've no idea on what I'm talking about, check out: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...279198-6238038

Edit: I know I could get a separate DVD player and CD-RW drive, but I like the geek factor of the Jackrabbit. It's also easy to take with me if I'd like to see DVDs elsewhere

I guess I could also try to get an internal combo drive and install that one... but I really don't want to spoil the warranty.
