In most countries that have the right to vote, you can defer your vote to someone else if you don't care to vote yourself.

Considering the majority of eligible Americans don't even register to vote, should the US adopt such a policy.

I'm personally of the opinion that if we have the right, we should do whatever we want with it.

I personally want my right to auction it to whomever wants it. Put it on Ebay, and someone who wants to pay to give their candidate an extra vote can bid for it.

Like which country?
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

What a stupid premise. I'm sorry but it goes against everything that the voting process stands for. You have one vote. That one vote represents you and you alone. The voting process is not akin to playing EverQuest. The only way one 'buys' votes is via special interests.

Name a country where it is actually legal to sell your vote.

That's the stupidest damn thing I've ever heard in my short, sweet life.

And that's only the tip of Robert's iceberg.
