Someone with 70 posts shouldn't go and try mucking with "Official" MacNN pages.

The good stuff.

BTW, your "bam" needs works.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

What a failure...

Not so difficult to use the old thread. Just click on the last page, then you're set, and you get to keep all of the sweet history.

You can't beat scrolling back and having a laugh at what we used to use (at least, what you guys used to use)

thanks, i needed a label for my life, failure sounds so sweet.

now, about this 'sweet history'

opened at random with 50 threads per page:
page 4 has one working link
page 14 has two working links, plus one impressively large preview pic
page 35 has one or two working links, but they took so long to load that after 90 seconds i closed the windows (i'm on a t3 here too). it does however have one large preview image.

seems all the postings before 2004 have dead links. several pages from 2004 too are mainly dead links.

so, what kind of magic browser do you use to look at all this 'sweet history'?

all i was trying to get started was a new screenshot thread that is current and contains mainly live links. if anyone's feelings are hurt by this, then let them begin the new thread.

It should be noted that it's the "OFFICAL" thread and not the "OFFICIAL" thread...

The current thread has mostly live links. Many pages back, so what are you doing going to page 50 anyway?
And haven't you ever heard of a "longest thread"? Well, this is ours, and we're proud of it. How hard is it for you to click "last page"?

a yearly desktop section would be nice.. however there is no way to back up the thread in order to 'save' all the screenshots. So your idea while is a good idea, just won't work.

Haha WOW! I never noticed that..

This forum would not be the same without that mammoth sized thread title floating somewhere near the top with its first 30 pages and all..

Don't get discouraged, roosta, just click "last page" and you should be fine..

For your continuing and baffling desecration of our beloved sacred thread, you are hereby banished from the GUI forum forever.

And as a final humiliation, you must walk home naked, dragging behind you the Stone of Shame.
