Correct. Service manuals are internal documents. Only people servicing the machines have access to those documents.

The Service Manuals were never online. Maybe you mean the TechNotes?

I have it. Downloaded it from Apple a while ago. I don't really want to put it on my website and 4.7MB is a bit much for my smtp server, but if you tell me a server (anonymous ftp maybe?) on which I can log in, I'll gladly put it there for you guys.

I managed to get my SMTP server to do it. You should have a copy in your mailbox. Anybody else?

They are just so damn handy to have.

I have every model now... I downloaded most a while back... and got the iMac G4...

the one missing was the eMac...(and a friend was asking if I would install a hard drive for him if he bought one)...

so now my collection is complete (for now)

Of course, you'll be gracious enough to report it to the federal and provincial authorities for assessment of duty and PST.
Sorry I can't help you by providing an in-country source.

3gg3, not to worry ... I downloaded the file at the duty-free store. That and a 26oz'er of Crown Royal!

Simon, I'd really appreciate that eMac service manual, if you could email it to me. My sister has one, and has succeed in filling the hard-disk with music and photos against all my expectations (it's an 80GB HD--no mean feat!)

macvillage.net, if you could email me a copy of the iMac G4 service manual, I would be forever in your debt, as I'm currently toying with the idea of upgrading mine myself, but really don't want to do it without first reading the manual.

Many thanks!

Oh boy, you guys are gonna get in trouble for restarting this thread after five years!

Anyway, before the lock, you can find iMac and eMac service manuals here.

Oops. It didn't even occur to me to check the other post dates.

Thanks for the service manuals though!
