One of the folks in Grafix is having fits( I'm in R&D, but I also work on the Macs here, 'cause IS only knows Wintel). Every time she quits UltraDev, she gets a dialog box saying that it has unexpectedly quit due to a Type 7 error. This seems to be wreaking havoc on the directories and I'm wondering if anyone here has had the same trouble.
The Mac is 3 weeks old and when I ran Disk Warrior on it, the directories were 38% fragged!!
She has a new DP800/768MB/nVidia 2MX/OS 9.2.1/80GB drive with ONE partition. In a week or so, we are going to back everything up and reformat her drive into 4 or 5 partitions:system, apps, work in progress, archives.

TIA
Zack

This is a known problem with UltraDev and 9.2.1. See Macromedia's support site for details. There is a tech note. It is not harmful, just irritatinng. All is saved properly.

Do you have Dreamweaver? If she's a graphics person then she probably doesn't need the features of ultradev. Try dreamweaver if you have it - or download the trial version and see if it screws up things.

Regardless of whether you're using Dreamweaver or UltraDev, the same Type 7 error occurs. Like I said, it's a known bug and there's a technote for it at Macromedia's support site. It's not harmful, only annoying to see the warning dialogue.
