Does anyone know how the memory is used? What I mean, is a 64MB dual the same as two 32MB cards?
Would a 64MB dual card run faster if only running one monitor, with a 32 or 16MB card running the second monitor?

I'm thinking of upgrading the video in my DP550 and I'm interested in freeing up a PCI slot, so the dual cards look promising. I'd rather stick with ATi, currently running an AGP 32MB Radeon and a 16MB Orion, both retail.

I think i remember reading something at the macgamer.com forums from someone who worked at ATI that in Mac os 9, a 64MB card would be split into 32MB/32Mb but in Mac os X, it was dynamic.
