I'm wondering what some creative minds think:

Got to transfer a relatively large (500MB) file across the net.

Firewall on one end prevents using apache or FTP and just hosting... Also blow AIM, or MSN.

Can't host it anywhere, for logistical reasons.

What's an easy way to communicate directly and transmit the file?

It's to a windows system... so no mac/unix tricks.

I'm curious if someone has yet another trick up their sleve.

Without telling us what ports are allowed through, it's kind of hard to answer your question. Assuming it's web only. Set up a TFTP (TFTP, not FTP) server on port 80, and use a tftp client behind the firewall to connect to the other computer on port 80 and transfer the file.

Can we assume that:
a) The firewall is on the end that is sending the file?
b) You can't access the router settings?

Burning CDs and mailing them still works.
