Does anyone know how to do this, it has changed sence 10.3, core services and bootx have taken a vacation from this version of osx. I have a powerbook, thus i startup frequently and have a decent amount of usage for this mod if one would be so kind as to help me

Thanks guys for all your help

Why do you start up rather than just sleep?

There's a thread on changing the login boot panel which changed in Tiger. And if you want to just change the screen, search for and replace Aqua Blue.jpg.

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

I wish we had the old happy mac face - kind of said, but that's a different thread all together.

aqua blue.jpg is a abstract blue background image? not a gray apple? and i have searched this forum over for how to replace the gray apple with no luck, i have found how to replace the login bootup panel and all that but that isn't what i'm asking for. So maybe if someone could get me a link to right forum or tell me how to replace the GRAY apple? i'm having no luck

I've seen some nice images for the grey apple replacement over on res-excellence but they have a note that replacing it is currently "broken" ? I also want to change the grey apple just to have something "different" than everyone else but coming up short on how to do it in tiger. There are programs that will do it for Panther but none seem compatable to what ever was changed in Tiger as of yet.

The Boot Image can be replaced in Tiger with Imagine BootX. The app page doesn't say it's compatible with Tiger even though an update was released for 10.4, I use it all the time for creating previews.

Enjoy!

Ps: The Boot Panel is the mod broken by Tiger.

I want to get rid of the happy face Mac icon altogether. Is there anyone to replace the Finder icon? Sorry, that logo reminds me of the 9.X days when I was NOT a Mac fan.
