Question for owners of Powerbooks with the BTO 5400RPM hard drive. Can you check your system profiler and tell me what model drive you have installed?
Is it Hitachi HTS548080M9AT00?
thanks
Lawrence

Haha, you lucked out. Just don't call apple for repairs now cause they will think you installed it yourself. And I think I can assume that if you tell them that you accidentally got it, they may ask to send it back. Hey, wanna buy me a lotto ticket with your luck?

Wait, I am confused by this post. Are you saying that the Fujitsu MHT2080AT is in fact a 5400 RPM drive? I recently purchased my 1.25 gHz w/ standard 4200 RPM drive is the system profiler lists this exact drive model. While it would be a nice surprise to find out that I got 'upgraded', I still believe that I have the 4200 RPM drive. Can anyone clarify further?

Cool ... please check whether they installed 1GB RAM just by chance ...

I'd like to get a stock 17" with a 7200 drive and a humble 2GB ... for the price of a stock 17" ;-)

Hi Intake,

I was confused by the poster. In the thread title I only saw "Stock". Then in the posters message he said BTO. I was too quick to the gun. Sorry.

If your unit is a 5400 can you tell me if the model number of your Powerbook is a ZOE? I know built to order normally has that model designation. Not sure if they assign that to just custom ram units.

A simple Google search for "FUJITSU MHT2080AT" shows that this drive is 4200rpm.
