File sharing login is slow

	We have an eMac in my house that has Personal File Sharing turned on. When I log in from my son's iMac, the login window appears right away. But when I login from my Powerbook, it takes up to a minute to get the login window. While it's waiting I see a status window that says "Looking up <name of server>.local" where <name of server> is the actual name. All machines are running 10.4.2. Any ideas what I can do to eliminate the long delay?
