Yes, I have Reader 7 installed. I do like the plugin that displays pdfs in Safari. Trouble is, when I try to view a pdf inside Safari, the Adobe plugin asks me to locate Adobe Reader. This happens every time I launch Safari. After that it will remember until I quit Safari. The next time I launch Safari I have to locate Reader again. Any idea why?
I operate in a user account. Locating the Reader in my admin account doesn't fix the problem in the user account.

Try doing a "Detect and Repair" from within Adobe Readers "Help" menu...

Good Idea! I forgot about that.
It says "No missing components detected. Repair not needed."
Does this sound like a problem that only I have?

Hmm, have you tried to reinstall Adobe Reader? Do you have any other PDF plug-ins installed by chance (Schubert)?

I haven't reinstalled Reader yet, and I don't have any other pdf plugins installed. But you got me thinking and I've solved the problem.
I simply copied the AdobePDFViewer.plugin from /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ to ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
Voila! No more permissions problems because the version in my home library supersedes the public version.
Thanks for your help,
Chris
