Off-topic, but I know from friends' experiences that Swedish clubs can be extremely elitist and racist.

Perhaps the pictures, although extremely selective, are a reflection of who the clubs actually let in.

The club in Stockholm is about as good as it gets. The pub in Newcastle is a dump.

Leave Stockholm and check out some places that would be the equivalent of the Newcastle joint and things will start looking startlingly similar.

Damn, 75% of the girls in the Sweden pics would fit right in in the Hot Chicks thread.

As for the other club...

What is that in the middle?

To get the general public who don't go into the bar to say "woot, look at teh beautiful people, I must go there and try and pull me some of that hot stuff", thus serving as advertising.

I think the first reply on that forum summed it up:
ich geh dann dann doch lieber zu den schweden. mfg
I don't know what it means (and I'm too lazy to translate it), but I can guess what " mfg" means.

You're lucky. These people also walk around in broad daylight. Right in front of you. You know, when you're shopping for food and stuff.

Yup, that's exacly it. A lot of clubs won't let you in if they don't like your face or clothes. Or when you're with a bunch of guys with no girls. Or more guys than girls. Things like that . Groups of girls never have problems with getting in though.

Happend to us a few weeks back in Munchen. Some of us weren't clothed properly. I said to them don't bother you won't be getting in but they still tried and got denied . Of course my rugged good looks provided me with entrance but I didn't want to leave them behind

Some of the most beautiful women I've ever met have been English. But the CULTURE of Brit drinking establishments is so very different from Sweden's that it's hard to say you were comparing apples to apples by comparing the pictures on the linked site.

I've been to clubs in the U.S. with gorgeous women dancing with each other, kissing each other, and so on...then they went home together (I never have learned how to tell that kind of club from one where I might get a date 100%, it's one of the reasons I gave up on clubs a long time ago), and I've been to clubs where you HAD to be part of a particular crowd or you'd wind up beaten up and thrown in the alley behind the place. I've also been to nice places with great music and atmosphere, great looking people who I got along with, and so on. I'm sure it's like that in Britain too. I kind of feel like this was a "best of" versus "worst of" comparison, and I'm touchy today.

Damn, that settles it. I'm not taking the Chunnel train to London from Paris. I'd rather hop on a jet to Sweden.

Last time I went to Newcastle most of the women looked like the ones in the Swedish photos - seriously. I guess I must have missed the Pig 'n' Whistle though

I've been to some bars in the sticks of Ontario and they were bad and slightly white trash but nothing up to the levels in those pics. Those pics look like white trash, inbreed, large city folk which makes it scarier.

Okay, I have to defend Arkansas really quick...

Sure, if you're in the trailer-land, it's like that. But NW Arkansas, particularly Bentonville and Fayetville, have one of the highest concentrations of absolutely gorgeous women that I've ever seen. My brother almost moved there partly because of that reason alone.

Interestingly enough, one of my friends just moved to Fayetville a couple months back. Yeah, she has some good pics.

It's been about 2 years since I was up there, but my experience was that they were all very pretty and really friendly (in a Southern, courteous way...not in a slutty sense). And to think that most people, when they hear "Arkansas," will just think of this...

Though I must say, Daly came here for a charity golf tournament and seemed to be very friendly to absolutely everyone.

When I think Arkansas I think Bill Clinton.

I also think that their pronunciation is inconsistent.

I went to check out my new house the other day.

While there, I checked out the local women at a couple of supermarkets. Made me wish I was in that bar in Newcastle.

How can the women in the UK be horrific, but Uncle Doof (AKA Link) is reputedly a raging man-beast?

It just doesn't seem fair.
