Despite the fact that I'm the only person I ever see in my office carrying the can around, I'm glad Mt. Dew is a staple of the vending machine. Cool, crisp and refreshing. Yellow #5, you are a welcomed friend.

I meant for the discussion to provoke other thankful vending machine buffs.
But, I do like to keep a constant stream of caffeine in my system. And most often 2 ibuprofen and a Mt. Dew will kill a migraine if I have one. We'll just call it preventative maintenance.

Before I started my last job (paper pusher at a law firm), I'd managed to cut caffeine out of my system.
And then I saw the 25¢ vending machine stocked with Mountain Dew. Apparently, cheap Mountain Dew + 8-10 hours a day at a computer for 6 months = 15 lbs to get rid of.

I am about to embark on a few weeks of caffeine addiction courtesy of Coke Zero. I just need to get stuff done, and Mrs. Larry, odd you mention migraines, I'm hoping this helps with those too!
I will have to bring in my own stock though, because our vending machines have upped their prices to $1.40 each.

I am a fan of Butterfingers, but they always break apart when they hit the bottom of the vending machine. Plus the last few I got from our vending machine look like the vending machine refill guy stomped on them a few times before loading them into the machine.

Well not vending machine coffee, obviously. I brew my own in my office.
I'll occasionally get a Snickers out of the vending machine, but that's about it.

Congrats on your moderator status.
Don't know when this happened, this is the first time I noticed.

$1.40 for a can of Coke?! Egads.
I've found that most soda machine owners don't change the default password for the vending machine. You could try setting it to $.50, or something more reasonable.
