Hello, recently I set up my MacBook to connect to a network share on login. This does work when the other server is available. Of course, if the server is not available it won't work. I was wondering if there was a way to change the time out that occurs when the system is attempting to reach the server. Can you make it try for, say, 10 seconds, instead of a minute? I ask because I don't always have network connectivity, and for the duration of my system trying to connect, the system is unresponsive until the connection times out. After that, all is well. It is exactly like XP seeming to hang on the login window as it tries to connect to mapped network drives that aren't available. If there is no way to do this, then I can just disable the login item to connect to this drive, but I just thought I would ask. Thanks in advance!
