Actually, I like the previews more often than the actual product. Just like the movies. Sometimes the 1 1/2 minute trailer is all you need to see.

woah, I just noticed that image rotates between 5 different really cool images. I like em all... except the purple one, it looks good, but doesn't fit with the rest of em.

No, that would mean ShapeShifter was getting rid of the nice GUI instead of adding to it.

Get it?

It's sorta required. House makes alot of great fonts, and most are pretty distinct, so they stick out pretty easy. Take the font Bullet. Everyone has seen it and probably can recognize it.

Smeger, how bout you make a vague statement about SS's new features every day until the 26th.

Okay, here's one:

"The radio button interface in ShapeShifter 1.2 has been widely hated. We hated it too. But there was a reason it was there."

Yeah, I saw it. If school didn't take up 6 hours a day I'd offer to help out. I also have a part time job 4 days a week, and a bowling league 1 day a week, so that leaves 2 days every week that I have free, and AT LEAST one of them is wasted with my friends. So I haven't had much time for GUI lately.

When I rule the world School will start at 9 am and end at noon.

I guess you really didn't get it. Sorry you're so sophisticated.

Smeger, uh, is there a chance you can explain why a radio button interface is necessary? I still don't get it. The radio buttons are evil.

Yeah... <sigh>...
There's a lot of childish crap and inter-thread bashing that goes on here that I just shrug at, and I can laugh at most anything, but CD, you went over the line there, my boy. As someone who's Grandparents escaped Germany with their lives and whose Great-Grandparents had fing numbers burned into their arms I have to say that post deserves to be sh*t-canned.

Shame on you.

Edit: Added...

And dont start with the "I guess you don't appreciate my humor" crap. Be accountable for what you say. Dont hide behind the anonymity of the 'net. Say what you have to say as if you had to look me in the eye. Smarten up, kid.

We now rejoin the usually benign razzing and poop humor, already in progress.

Maybe they have hacked the system appearance prefs pane to make the variations choice here, insted of just blue / graphite?

(then again, maybe not...would that even be usefull )

Hmm, I suppose it's theoretically possible to allow more than one radio button to be selected at a time....(?)

But, see, it's not. Radio buttons are exclusive. Checkboxes are used for multiple choices.

I personally can't figure out why radio buttons would be necessary though. I guess we'll know soon enough.

I am not a neo-con ambush. Don't use words unless you know what they mean. And if you do know what they mean, please use it properly. Otherwise is just makes you look like you heard that word once, and are just using it to look cool and hip.

but you're not obliged to defend his nazi jokes

What I am saying is, you are over-reacting. Just because something is about Nazis, you don't suddenly, knee-jerk and get offended. He wasn't being serious. It was obviously a joke.

BUT PLEASE, don't reply to this one,
Here is some good advice. You don't want me to reply to a post of yours, don't reply to one of mine. I swear 90% of the time it works.

If you were so concerned about keeping this ON topic you'd just have reported him and not said a word to him about it in the thread.

Some people feel that jokes about Nazis (which like or not -- intended or not -- brings the Holocaust to mind) are never appropriate. Some people feel the slaughter and torture of millions of innocent people isn't something you joke about.

Who are you to tell someone they are over-reacting to something like that? It's a touchy subject for a reason.

This is a public forum, not a private one. If people used a little common sense they wouldn't need to be reminded that they aren't free to say whatever they want.

You are correct, and make a good point. I apologize.

But the facts still remains, they didn't need to do it in the middle of the channel.

A lot of the time it seems, it's not what was said that gets people's pants in a knot, but who said it in here. Meaning certain people can get away with saying things that others cannot simply out of petty spitefulness.

Is the "Help" button un-borked? I'd be plenty happy with that.

And they're chiclets, not tabs! Tabs are so 2003.

So... Two days and we are golden... Or which ever color you want your theme to be I guess
Just for the old S&G factor (sex and glamor), when I go to update my copy of SS, will I have to:
Pay again?
Will it know I am already registered and stuff, or will I have to re-enter my info?

So excited,

No other Unsanity product has ever prompted me for my info while upgrading. I'm sure all pirated versions will require that the user re-enter info.
