I figured a "Paging: Ca$h" title was overdoing it. See here. Brilliant marketing on both companies' parts, I think. Perfect age range for their customers, and the amount of customers for the product alone warrant such a thing. Wonder how well it'll do. As cool as the cards are, I don't need another credit card, that's for sure.

And, of course, this thread is set for success when Rob comes along!

Discuss and be merry!

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

They'd do a lot better if all the designs were of scantily clad female night elves in naughty positions.

Ooo! Ooo! Me first!

Hmmm...ok...I think I got it...

"Yeah, if you wanna announce to the world you're a loser who lives in your parents' basement, it's perfect. Nothing says 'I suck in bed' like a guy who pays for his date's dinner with a World of Virginity Visa. But that won't be a problem, since your only opportunity to use the card will be during your online purchases of a sex doll and some dice for the next big Dungeons and Dragons lamefest."

Throw some swear words in there and I'd say you might have it.

I likewise do not need another Visa, and considering how specifically targeted they appear to be, the reward points seem a little weak (roughly 1% of the amount you buy with the card). In order to get one month of game time, you'll have to spend almost $2,000. As a fair comparison, with Amazon's Visa, you get 1% back for each normal purchase and 3% for any purchases on Amazon.

Its cool, and they will "sell" a buttload of em. I won't get one because I'm anti-credit card at the time being. I recently paid off all of mine, and don't intend on digging that hole again.

But great idea and sort of a no-brainer on Blizzard's part.

I'm waiting for the WoW Theme Park, which of course will be located on its own island in the middle of nowhere, to give you that Azeroth feeling.

Nicely done, good sir, nicely done.

True, though, I would've hoped for more benefits than just that. Maybe they will add more dependent upon how well it's accepted. $1500+ for just a free month won't be a big enough draw, though, I don't think. But people are obsessed enough with this franchise for the cool factor of the card designs alone, though. I rather like them myself, especially the troll and orc ones.

Well, from her Neverwinter Nights experience she prefers paladins. I refuse to play Alliance. So we loaded BC on her MBP and she is playing Blood Elf Paladin. My Ti 1ghz doesn't like BC too much, so I'm playing orc shaman. The hurdle today is that I haven't figured out how to get a NooBelf to Durotar.

I thought she would be tired of it after last night, but this morning she said she almost started before I got out of bed. We'll be on later. We are on Shadow Council. I've found the maturity level decent on that server as long as I stay off the chat channels.

Wachoo playin', mon?

You can get her there by taking the transporter in the room in Sunfury Spire (ports you to Undercity), then zeppelin it from there.

She's got the bug, dude! I'm on Draka. 70 troll warrior, mon. 29 troll shammy twink for shits and giggles in PVP (and for jewel crafting), 33 hunter I haven't touched in awhile, and a 26 BE lock. Good times. No Visa, though.

I don't know if I hated it, but I just really didn't like it. My friends play it every once in a while, but I just never liked RPGs.

Starcraft is a real-time strategy (RTS), not a role-playing game (RPG).

I figured someone would correct my genre. Either way I don't like it.
