This movie came out quite a while ago; in 1993. Staring Sean Austin as Rudy. I had watched this movie when i was in college 10 years ago, and it stuck with me (everything except the name of the movie).
I rediscovered it a few days ago, and loved it. The movie's production is not on the blockbuster level, and it seems like a made-for-tv-movie, but the story is great and what keeps me engaged. The soundtrack is awesome as well.
I'm not a huge fan of the sport specifically, but this true story is something special, so i highly recommend it. It is pretty inspirational.
Cheers

Just a follow up, the soundtrack to this movie(Rudy) is awesome. If you enjoyed the soundtrack to Dances with Wolves(John Barry) or soundtracks composed by Michael Kamen(Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, From the Earth to the Moon(TV)), you will really like this soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith. it is very distinctly American.
Cheers

I do enjoy Rudy; but just like Invincible, the story in the movie is almost completely fake. Google if you don't know about the real story of either movie...don't if you worry it might ruin them for you. Hahaha.

I met Dan "Rudy" Ruettiger several years ago. He was speaking at a scAmway motivational seminar we went to. A couple we are friends with kept bugging us to go. BTW they are, thankfully, no longer involved with scAmway.
