It's getting old to see the same people over and over harp continuously about how someone has belittled them or been hateful to them. Anytime someone isn't correctly adhering to their standards or blowing sunshine, they are accused of belittling or just being hateful. Is the report button broken or something? Continuing your interaction with said person isn't going to help matters, just use the freaking report button and let the mods handle it in a way that they see fit.

Just plain annoying.

See, if you had a proper car, you wouldn't build up all this frustration - the gentle rumble of the V8 would soothe away your worries.

Yeah, it would be terrible.

My point is that I am tired of hearing about people being belittled, etc. when all the poster has to do is click the report button and let the people (mods) deal with the issues as they see fit, like they are supposed to.

See, when people are hostile to other people, it's 'cause said people are insecure. That's what I heard anyway.

The problem is that too many people have thin skin and actually care about what people on an internet forum say about them. To them I say, "grow up".

Witty.

Actually, it's simply a way of saying, "Quit acting like a child whose feelings get hurt when anyone calls him a name or offends his fragile ego."

See how "Grow up" is much simpler and to the point?

If I wanted to say, "You suck. You should be more like me", I would have said, "You suck. You should be more like me."

There is nothing wrong with being sensitive. Why is it always the sensitive person's job to compromise while the insensitive person continues to steamroller over people?

Asking this question in a general sense...

Because adults are people without feelings who have nothing better to do than to accuse each other of horrible things and cast the cruelest barbs they can think of at everyone around them?

Has it occurred to you that maybe this isn't normal? I don't know if you surround yourself with terrible people or what, but most adults still have emotions and don't like having really terrible insults directed at them. If anybody said to my face the things some people say here, I'd be just as likely to tell them to stop being a bitchy little twit. Lack of tact is childish; being willing to face up to people is mature.

Scary how you conjure up images of the male genitalia in your mind from a statement where no such sexual references where made.

You do know that there are various definitions of gay, and homosexual people do not own that term. Gay can also mean being a sissy or a wuss, though not neccesarily homosexual. Of course, certain people can also be both, it depends.

Why lol? For the most part it is true. Hostile/attacking people usually have insecurity complexes. As a matter of fact, most psychologists often treat young bullies by first finding out what their insecurities are. Once they can get them over those, the bullying usually goes away. Bullying usually stems from self defense mechanisms built in hoping others wont see the weakness we see or perceive in ourselves.

Of course no one that does this would ever admit to it being the case. That would go against the self defense mechanisms. Often those that practice such behavior also belittle any explanation as to why it's being done for the very same insecure reasons.

But if you ask them if they are insecure, they will deny it, and then react in defensive mode usually with more "bullying" or "character assassinations"

Just watch the replies to this post.
