Can anyone tell me what I'd need to do stop motion photography with a Canon digital SLR camera? I've already done this with other non-SLR cameras, but I'd like to try this on a limited basis with my DSLR camera.

Thanks!

my D300 has an interval setting. if you dont want it to take pictures continuously all you gotta do is click the shutter. if you have photoshop extended, you can load your photos as a stack and create a video. good luck.

You will need a timer remote from Canon. It works on 30D-50D, 5D, and 1D. For Rebel, you will need the adapter.

Depending what your doing use manual focus and exposure to avoid irregularities between shots!

Check out this video I made using a nikon D90: http://www.vimeo.com/2845917
There's a link on there that takes you to my blog that explains how I made that stop motion video and the gear/software I used.
Hopefully that helps.

Yes, but what if I want to use my camera without having to press the shutter manually? I don't want to sit there taking photos every few seconds! I'd like to leave it on a tripod and forget about it for a little while.

Sorry, didn't see the post about the timer-remote. The TC-80N3 is exactly what I'm looking for.
