Samsonite have just brought this out:

hardlite briefcase
The thing even has bluetooth in the 625 model!!!

Looks like the business for a TiBook case.

The finish is beginning to bubble off my Ti on its own. In my opinion the Ti finish is not worth the protection. Cool case though.

Just the thing to advertise that you're carrying something valuable and expensive. I prefer sliding my iBook into my backpack, and presto incognito. I use a West Ridge design IceBook sleeve. Are the Powerbooks so fragile that you need a hard case?
Scooters are more fun than computers and only slightly more frustrating

My Ti is great so far, after 3 months. It was THROWN by my little nephew to the floor while it was sleeping. NO damage. I think people, including myself, should be more careful with expensive stuff! No paint chipped off yet. The Ti gets a bad rap. It is a great machine that outperforms the competition. It is not perfect but damned close!

Why would you need a "pilot" for a near-perfect computer?

The Hardlite is the nicest case for the TiBook I've seen yet. The price point is nice, too. I like the traditional silver color. Do any of you like the "LCD Green" and black case? I think it would get old fast.

That's good to know 'cause I want to upgrade to Powerbook late next year. They seemed tough enough when I checked them out at an Apple Store (CompUSA keeps them secured down so you can't pick them up).

if i were looking for a case for my powerbook, i would find something tough to protect it. I wouldn't just use a sleeve. my tom bihn is nice in that the sides of the case are metal (?) and they put all the fabric over top of it. i feel safe when i put it in there

i wouldn't just get a sleeve. i feel like when i pick it up, it's so big (not really big, but big enough) and thin that i would be careful. you have this humangous lcd screen and you could press down on the screen right in the center.

the ibook definately feels more solid. but i wouldn't trade my ti for anything (well, almost anything). can't beat a G4 in OSX

The bluetooth offers anti theft + some sort of storage apparently. I assume its just got a memory card in it with a blue tooth adapter or something.
Looks pretty snazzy. I have a Bobblebee people's deelite but its not very kind on the inside - I have to insert foam to stop the entire weight of my Ti resting on two points.

here's a thought though: briefcase on charge?
knowing samsonite it will be some sort of removeable thing though I would have thought. I wonder if you could have a hard disk in it!

Sean, how much have you seen it for? I haven't found any pricing info for it.
