Title really explains it but....

A Command + Tab for cycling through the windows of an application.
Just like Windows Alt + Tab.

I did a search and found a thread from a different site from 2004 that said Command + Left/Right Arrow Keys would do it, but those must have been changed, because now that goes forward/back on that pages history.

Thanks.

You set it yourself. System Prefs, Keyboard & Mouse and then the last tab. By default, it is Command + (whatever button is just above the left control and option keys). That's tilde on US keyboards, but if you have a different keyboard layout, it's still the same physical button.

I think it's set up as standard for me on the MacBook.

Command + ` as P said.

Unfortunately, it does not work consistently in all major applications.

That's a shame. But that seems to be always be a problem when it comes to keyboard shortcuts.

I'm still loving it. And wondering how I did anything before I knew about it.

Photoshop is the only app I've experienced my beloved Command + ~ not working. Silly Control + Tab.

So I got a new US keyboard for my 2nd MacBook today, what on earth have they done with the layout? The ` key is up in the top left under esc. whereas it's next to the left shift key on the UK keyboard. The enter key is going to take getting used to, I keep tapping the \ key instead.

Next to the left shift key? Strange! I can't even imagine Tilda not being to the left of the 1 key.

IIRC Apple has US, UK, and "English International" layouts. I can't remember exactly what the differences are between US and English International, but I do know that US is the only usable layout.

UK layout is a bit weird. I'm pretty sure if a majority of UK users would use some *NIX variant instead of Windows they wouldn't keep the ~ where it is now for long.
