There is a bomb in front of me with a timer and I need to cut either the red wire or the blue wire to defuse it (rather quickly please).
Which one should I cut?
Thanks in advance,
FA

Because:
a) I am FEARLESS!
b) I am handcuffed to the bomb.
c) I know the answer.
d) All of the above.

Ah, yes.. but what if the bomb desginer was smart and knew you'd cut the blue one? Then, obviously, he would have made the red one the wire to cut.
But then, what if he was really smart and knew that I'd know that he knew you'd cut the blue one? Then, obviously, he would have made the blue wire the correct choice, since, obviously, you would attempt do cut the red wire.
It's so simple.

Smell it, does it smell like turpentine, if it does its probably a plastic explosive, it not it could be NG, TNT or a Sugar/Fertilizer mix.
If it plastic based, put the bomb in your microwave, this will destroy the timing device (if it has one).
If its not plastic based don't do this, Use a circuit tester to check which of the two wires has a current running through it, cut the one without a current.
If you really have a bomb in your home please be careful.

Cut the red one, it's always the red one, umm, unless the swap the colors around to trick you.
Normaly, I just run like hell, but hey, whatever you think works best.
I would go with the red wire.
Oh, and moonmonkey, you know a little TO much on the subject

Following the general consensus I cut the blue wire.
The correct answer is red.

It's good to know that the correct answer is red, that means I'm still alive! Send in the machine first!
