Would archiving all threads older than 6 months (even just older than 1 year) help the stability of the forums?
I'm still seeing zombie threads resurrected on an almost daily basis.

You're just desperate to get the old threads archived aren't you
If it does help with the forum stability, that would be a big bonus as they're pretty messed up right now.
And, to your comment about the old threads being dug up, I bring you http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.php?t=297120

Yes, I am.
Once archived, you can't add to old threads, so it really would cut down on the people who can't follow the rules breaking that particular rule.

I doubt that it would have any effect on stability.
But I'd love to see it just to stop morons from resurrecting prehistoric threads.

Would it be hard to archive them all? There seems to be stuff being dug up from all forums so it would be best to do them all if possible.

I suppose that this is terribly minor, but the description of the General Archive forum has been rendered inaccurate due to recent archival.

I agree that all forums should be archived. I have found zombie threads in every forum I patrol (that is, even forums I'm not the official mod of).
