It seems that Apple have posted "localised" versions of their "Get a Mac" adverts for our friends across the pond in the UK.

Most of them are virtually the same script as in the American ones, but there is one that is apparently targeted to the UK alone.

How did I miss that one? I did a search, and came up with nothing. Must not have used the right keywords...

The search has been suspect lately.

Suspect search function or not, expect to be flamed to little bits of charcoal by the most anal retentive MacNNers.

Next time check every post in every thread in the last 5 pages. Also, click on all links provided to make sure the web sites linked to don't carry any news stories that cover whatever you're talking about.

I have no idea, I don't know any Japanese, or know any Japanese people, I just thought it was funny.

Yep, it's the Security ad.

And nothing "samurai": that's a catcher's outfit - combined with, what, an icehockey glove and other stuff.

Japanese are big on baseball.

So far I like the UK Tentacle of the Squid one and the Japanese Security one better than the US versions.

In the Japanese security commercial, PC is saying "Since there are so many viruses and spyware for the PC, I installed many anti-virus software to defend against them" Hence he has a ice hockey glove, a knee pad, a hard hat, a catcher/umpire gear, and part of a kendo armor.

I find the Japanese PC to be the most randomly funny of all the PCs. His funny iPod dance makes me laugh every time. (Mostly because my office co-workers do the same kind of dancing at karaoke....)
