All I keep hearing from conservatives is what a bad president Jimmy Carter was.

But Pres. Carter created more private sector jobs than 4 of the last 5 Republican presidents. Actually, he create almost as many jobs as 4 of the last 5 Republican presidents combined.

Bush Tax Cuts == Job Killer

Jimmy Carter created more jobs per year than 5 of the last 5 Republican presidents.

Even the biggest deficit spender Pres. Reagan created less jobs per year than Pres. Carter.

A Carter thread actually makes me feel a little young. I remember Dan Aykroyd playing him on SNL more than his actual presidency.

Republicans

Richard Nixon: Increase of 7.1 million jobs
Gerald Ford: Increase of 1.3 million jobs
Ronald Reagan: Increase of 14.7 million jobs
George H.W. Bush: Increase of 1.5 million jobs
George W. Bush: Decline of 646,000 jobs

Total: Increase of 23.9 million jobs under Republican presidents

Democrats

John F. Kennedy: Increase of 2.7 million jobs
Lyndon B. Johnson: Increase of 9.5 million jobs
Jimmy Carter: Increase of 9.0 million jobs
Bill Clinton: Increase of 20.8 million jobs
Barack Obama: Increase of 332,000 jobs

Total: Increase of 42.3 million jobs.

Clinton trumps them all, so what does this say. The president who smokes weed (does not inhale) and has sexual wait non sexual relations with interns create the most jobs.

Wouldn't that make Boehner responsible for what's going on now?

Sure, if legislation passed from the House was actually voted on by the Senate instead being DOA.

I remember my aunt telling me about buying a house during the Carter administration.

Mortgage rates were at thirteen percent.

Thirteen. Percent.

Yeah...f that.

Errr...and? Rates were as high as low 20s up here in the early 80s I believe.

Do you know why this was so?

13% is pretty high.

It went over 20% under Pres. Reagan.

Do you mean the Iran-Contra affair when Pres. Reagan committed treason by illegally selling weapons to Iran to fund the contra wars?

I wonder how many Reagan era missiles are still left at Iran's disposal.

Maybe they were all internships.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

I don't think you can consider Clinton's record on creating jobs without a breakdown of blow vs. hand.
