Are there any stencils to create Data Flow Diagrams in (any version) of OmniGraffle?
if not, can anyone recomend a good alternative application to create them?

Hang on, even in my old v2.2 there's a Flowchart palette. Isn't that suitable for dataflow?

You can always copy this one and spruce it up a bit for your diagrams.

You could also just google for Omnigraffle palettes, these quite a few knocking about.

Data flow diagrams are often just circles=processes, rectangles=external entities, and parallel lines=data stores. (All of which is in Graffle.) If you need different specific symbology, could you link to an example diagram or something so we'll know what you are looking for?
