Ok, Rumor, **** KB, when are we getting together and kill some challenges? I have Friday off, and Saturday, of course.

I haven't been able to get into this game yet. Something just doesn't grab me. It could be that I have a hard time navigating still.

Well, doing some challenges could help that. I learned a lot of the layout of the city that way.

I loved the first Burnout for the 360 (Revenge?). We picked up Paradise on Amazon right after I got a 360 for the boyfriend - it's freaking awesome. The graphics are amazing, as is the gameplay.

Unfortunately, we have about eleventy thousand different games to play right now, so it hasn't gotten much playtime yet.

Crash TV provides early glimpse of Burnout Paradise's cop cars

Looks like a ton of content. Can't see how they don't charge $20, particularly after how over-priced the toy cars were.

HA! I was wondering how long it take before you noticed. My Halo 3 run is coming to an end soon (just one more achievement left). I need something to take up my time until GhostBusters is released in June. I was at my local Game Krazy store yesterday to pick up a new mic and saw this game in the used bin for $15. This game is quite fun and th map is huge. I need to get more familiar with the city before I do any online competitions.

I noticed while you were playing. I'm just unsure given your penchant lately whether you bought it for what you might have thought was an easy gamerscore. No offense, I've never seen you do a racing game before.

So, when are you buying this:

We'll have to do some challenges soon. It'll help you get acquainted with the game.

Yeah, I normally don't play a lot of racing games but this thread and my brother convinced me to buy it. At $15, I couldn't pass it up.

Maybe we should meet up this weekend. That should give me enough time to find all the gas stations & repair shops.

I just picked it up this weekend and was instantly addicted. It has GTA-style stuff to locate (Jumps, billboards, fences) and the online is pretty damn smooth. And it's only $20.

Boguesy, you need to scrounge up the cash. And Rumor, you need to trade in Revenge for Paradise on Gamefly. I can't imagine it's that hard to come by.

Anybody in here have this (even if you stopped playing it, ohhhh, 10 months ago)?
Got it for the 360 (was it even released on other consoles?) for like $15 on Amazon. Awesome game.

I really enjoyed the other Burnout for the 360 - great graphics, and I'm a destroy-everything-you-see kind of girl.

The DS release of Burnout, on the other hand, sucked balls.

The challenges don't involve racing (Well, the non-timed ones, anyway). You will need, however, to unlock some decent stunt vehicles. Or you can buy the DeLorean.

Your first?

---

If you guys want a quick review of Cops N Robbers, fun mode, a little simple/repetitive (there's only 1 set of locations for the bases, and like 5 for the gold). It's still worth the 800 for the vehicles, but if it didn't have them I wouldn't pay more than 200 for the mode (maybe for 400 if you really value achievements).

---

It does add a nice change of pace in that no-one has boost, so sometimes (particularly in non-uniform vehicle type games) it can be quite difficult to takedown the person carrying the gold (even though they are traveling slower, I think they get a small strength boost from having the gold).

I'm, of course, started a game, got to the gold first, and returned it unmolested my first try.

Sounds fun. I haven't played Burnout Paradise in awhile. There's just so many good games out there that take up all the little time I have to play it.

I should mention the highlight of last night was I was playing in a room with a bunch of dudes who knew each other and had cams. I took them all down eventually, and one mugshot was of a 300 lbs dude sitting at the base of his couch. Hilarity.

It's a shame that loser Bogues decided to get COD 4 instead of Burnout. I was looking forward to getting the 500 take downs achievement on him.

One particularly intriguing achievement involves getting a whopping 4.5 seconds of air time in a single jump.
Awesome! Let's hope they announce a release date with pricing at E3.

Also, as one of the comments in the article mentioned. My new favorite trophy/achievement is: Jump Through Deese's Donut

Who's Donuts? DEESE'S DONUTS!

The computer was supposed to give everyone the same cars! At some point something I did reset that option and ****ed you all. You two said you were giving up long before I passed you, so I opted to just end it all.

They don't say how much it will cost.

Looks like I will be forced to get all the Big Surf achievements in the 5 days before Ghostbusters is released.

Maybe. I just hope Criterion doesn't come out with a bundled pack a few months from now that includes all cars/cops & robbers/big surf DLC for $20.

Damn you EPIC!

Yes, I will play. Depending on my plans tonight I was going to request a three-way with the brothers Crosbie.

I'm a little frustrated with Fable. I'm really pissed I'm stuck on the path of good without any warning, so I haven't had the urge to play.

It may also depend on how that Cavs/Magic game is going.
