Seriously, though - IIRC, the folks who have their heads lobbed off and put it on bills in the US are all political figures - right? If there were a general trend towards putting important folks of all professions on the mullah (e.g., Carottop on the $1 bill, Arnie on the $10, etc.) I'd say - go for it. But as the only non-politician? Hmmm, dunno. Probably not - I'm big on consistency and kind of old-fashioned when it comes to stuff like this.

How is this a political topic anyway? Or did I miss the point (again)?

I'm not entirely certain what it is we're discussing, but if it is asking for a vote for a picture of Ray Charles on our greenbacks, as opposed to all the two bit politicians who presently dis-grace our legal tender, then I'm all for deposing the politicians and recognizing some other culturally significant folk.

Then again, i suppose it is entirely appropriate that politicians dominate our dollars as it entirely true that the power of money dominates them!

As for putting Ronald Reagan's mug on some coin or bill, I'll be the first to deface such an issue. Talk about trickle down economics.

E.g., As there is serious lobbying going on currently to put Reagan on the Ten; here, a counterpoint / satire / zinger / whatever.

E.g., Puttin' Charles on the Ten also begs the political question, what does this nation value anyway?

Etc.

Gotcha - I tend to get a bit slow in the head (more so than usual) around 3am. Well, then let me put it this way - when faced with the choice between Ronald Reagan and Ray - I (would have) pick(ed) Ray any time of the day. On the money (and in the WH).

I say we put Ray on the 10 and Reagan on the 3.

Get rid of all the dead people currently on the money and replace with explorers, literary figures and other great people who have forged the U.S. nation and culture.

Other nations do this.

After all, politicians are liars, cheats and scoundrels by nature. Should they be immortalized on currency?
