Simple enough hack. I had to follow these instructions to get the HDD prep'ed for the AppleTV.

The magic is in a nice, native little PCB that takes the IDE signal + power and converts it to SATA + power.

The advantage to this? You don't need to hack your OS, you can update your AppleTV without worrying about losing any data or waiting for another patchstick.

You will need to modify your AppleTV chassis slightly to get it all to fit nicely.

Now you can use those big 2.5" SATA drives in your AppleTV!
