What's My Job Title...?

Okay, I'm filling out some business related paperwork, and most of the filings are wanting a job title. I know it's not THAT big of a deal, but still. As for what my job/company is, it's RAILhead Effects, my custom guitar effects pedals. It's full-time, and it's all me.
- "President" sounds too formal, and there's no board of directors to answer to.
- "Owner" works, but it doesn't seem to give the sense that I do everything.
- "Owner Operator" is okay, but doesn't that more industrial...?
- Others...?
These are for CE certification and loads of other legal forms I'm finally getting around to filing after 2 years, so I want it to be accurate, descriptive, yet pithy.

"Owner" sounds good to me. I imagine the only reason to look at those titles is to make sure you have the legal authority to sign the form. "Owner" captures all that.
Even on the CE forms, if a compliance question comes up and they want to talk to the folks who designed the product, they will call you anyway. You can always put them on hold, let them wait for a minute or two, then answer the phone as the "principal hardware designer"....

Too long?
That would require the recipients know to whom “Doof” refers. Could be a drawback.

That's a rather awkward word. Doesn't really trip from the tongue like molten silk, as correctly-designed words should. Hmmm.

Then again, nor do fat pudgy people. They tend to trip from the tongue like molten blubber instead.

I wouldn't know. My tongue doesn't go near pudgy fat people. Each to his own, I guess.

It doesn't need to give the sense that you do everything - don't tell the blighters any more than you need to. If they need confirmation of something, they'll ask.

They can be all right, with plenty of salt and a dash of vinegar. Ew. I just grossed myself out there.

I forgot you've been in Iceland recently - you've probably been eating nothing but whale blubber for weeks.

Sort of implies you are an "engineer" though. Is there some sort of "Design" alternative? Not sure if there are any potential legal ramifications to claiming yourself as a "Chief Engineer" of a company...might be something you'd want to look into.

To my knowledge, only in the civil and structural engineering fields, or other fields relating to construction or public works projects. Those fields generally require Professional Engineer certification in addition to a degree, and there are legal ramifications to claiming PE certification if you do not have it.
We have an "Applications Engineer" at my company who does not have an engineering degree (but he knows a lot about our products, having worked for a number of years here in a different capacity.)

how about "overlord" or "lord of pay-cheques"
There#s so much choice these days, you fill in anything as long as it sounds corporately correct.
Good luck
