Just got an e-mail inviting me to sign up for the European Final Fantasy XI beta... Good to know it really is finally making its way over to these shores
I'm a bit miffed by the survey questions though, they seem to assume you're running Windows... I seem to remember some people on here saying they'd been testers for the US release, did you get that impression too? Were they testing the PS2 version as well as the PC or what?

I've also played with people from Germany too. I thought They already have FFXI in Europe.

Nope. You can import the PC version with some effort, I think.

I'm pretty sure they are wanting you to test the PC version, not the PS2 version.

They sent me an invite out of the blue, apparently they're only accepting responses from those that they mailed.

Yeah, I kinda expect that too. I submitted the form anyway, we'll see what happens

I'm on the EU Sony PS2 network trials, - at least two people on the forums there have admitted to buying US PS2s and US Network Adapters so that they can play FFXI. (It wasn't even certain to be released in Europe until recently.)
I think I've just found the survey form you mention - I suspect that they list Windows only out of ignorance.

[edit] - actually, on seconds thoughts, I think It's the PC, not the PS2 version.
