I dunno, all it seems to cause is trouble. Then again, some people need their security blankets.

In the words of Karl Marx, religion is the opiate of the people. But opium is illegal, innit?

Ya, Karl Max(sic) is my hero.

Why are you so parochial in your thinking that you have to assign EVERYONE with religious beliefs to the, "people need their security blanket" crowd?

Gee whiz.

And when they are wrong, they also have to deal with it on their own as well.

Yes and to start with from these forums... gay topics are actually ok until the religious zealots start to participate. Politics, likewise.

I don't think humans can do without some kind of religion, it seems as natural as breathing.

Funny, when it's usually the non-relgious that brings up the religious.

Weird how that works huh?

Yeah, well could be, i didn't keep scores, so you might very well be right. In fact neither do i care who started what. If the thread is about a certain topic and somebody mentions religion, couldn't you, say, just for the sake of the original topic, ignore the supposed stab on religion?

Oh, I do ignore a lot.

But certain people seem to have to bring in up in every topic. They have been asked to stop. But for the life of them, they have no restraint.

They can worship whatever they want. As long as they don't preach to people outside their little cult.

You don't have any restraint either. This is the pot calling the kettle black.

Let's not have this tug-of-war, please...
